Having been to Saint Lucia a few times to photograph beautiful weddings at their stunning resorts, we were looking to switch things up a bit. This time we wanted to see the island more in depth, get off the resort grounds and really have an experience, while at the same time, capturing images for our clients of the island's beauty, people and culture that they'll cherish forever.
Enter Real Saint Lucia Tours. The owner, Janus, arrange to have his best driver pick us up. Sammy, our driver arrive early, had ice cold water and snacks for us in the vehicle. We set out from our resort at Jalousie Plantation and traveled west. Along the way we stopped at a local bread making house in a tiny village over looking the coastline and Pitons. While we traveled the island, Sammy educated us on the culture of Saint Lucia, the people, the history, politics, foods and more.
The entire time Sammy exuded the utmost professionalism, knowledge and a level of friendliness unparalleled by the tours I've taken here in the states. In the end, we captures brilliant images thanks to Real Saint Lucia tours and their driver, Sammy. Our bride and groom were beyond elated, and we ourselves can hardly get back and reconnect with Sammy, Janus and some of the locals we met along the way. It was more than a tour, it was an experience.
